Not just for one faction or a culture group, but for all (playable) factions. What I'm looking for is a mod (or collection of mods) that just adds a couple of cool, unique units that are well balanced and feel like they belong in the game. isn't it sort of the point they're all about horses and bows and stuff? Even worse is the nomad factions getting full-fledged melee rosters. The unit models are really cool, and most are reasonably well balanced, it's just that there's so many! Why would Sparta need these super-late game sword units? Sure, let's add a mid-tier periokoi sword unit, that sounds interesting, but it just goes way overboard - to the point where I feel all factions might as well be the same, since everyone gets every type of unit anyway. It homogenizes the factions, which I don't like.įor example, I'd been using ChampLoo's unit pack for a while now. It sort of detracts from the theme of the faction when you get 20 new units, all in different tiers, that do all sort of new stuff. Think we missed one?
